Executive Team

Bill Neary, Chairman

Over the past year William (Bill) Neary has functioned as the Chairman of both Wareforce Corp. and SARCOM, Inc., spending the majority of his time in Columbus focusing on the consolidation of these two companies. Before taking on the role of Chairman, Neary was President of Wareforce and has been a part of PC Mall and its predecessor companies for the past thirteen years.

Prior to entering the Information Technology Solutions industry, Neary spent over 30 years in the transportation industry. He has a BS degree in Business with majors in Accounting and Economics. He has always been an active member of his community and has served on many non-profit boards. Neary currently resides in Southern California with his wife Jan, where they both enjoy their extended family which includes their three children and four grandchildren.

 

Jim Garrity, President

Jim Garrity is currently President of SARCOM, Inc. and a member of its Board of Directors. Garrity is a 15 year veteran of the information technology industry with a wide range of experience in the areas of reselling, manufacturing, and the distribution of technology solutions. Most recently he served as COO of SECNAP® Network Security.

Prior to joining SECNAP® Network Security, Garrity served as President of MoreDirect, a subsidiary of PC Connection. He joined MoreDirect in 1999 as Vice President of Sales and was promoted to President in late 2004. During his tenure with More Direct, the company quickly scaled from a small start-up to a well respected IT Solutions provider with over $500 million in annual revenues. In 2005, Garrity led the acquisition and integration by MoreDirect of a major competitor with high end services expertise in order to expand the Company’s role as a total solutions provider. Under his leadership, MoreDirect was able to create a culture of teamwork on behalf of its customers. Prior to MoreDirect he was with Ingram Micro, the world’s largest wholesale technology distributor.

Garrity earned his degrees in Business and Applied Technology from the Florida Institute of Technology.

 

Ron Morgenstern, Senior Vice President of Sales

As Senior Vice President of Sales for SARCOM, Ron Morgenstern brings over two decades of entrepreneurial management experience in developing successful business opportunities.  Morgenstern is responsible for ensuring that the SARCOM sales organization understands and communicates the unique value that SARCOM brings to its customers and business partners. He is also charged with building and maintaining relationships with SARCOM’s largest enterprise accounts and alliance partners.

Since joining the company in 1996, Morgenstern has held several sales management positions within the company.  Prior to joining the company, Morgenstern served four years as VP of Services and VP of Marketing & Business Development at HW Electronics; and for six years he was President of TeamMac, Inc.

 

John Strauss, Senior Vice President of Lifecycle Services

John Strauss has been with SARCOM for 16 years and his responsibilities include executive management of all field service operations including financial, logistical, administrative, and customer service delivery operations.  He also serves on numerous Manufacturer and Services Consulting Organizations Advisory Councils including:  Advisory Board Member of IT Solutions Providers Alliance (ITSPA), Advisory Board Member of ITWorks-Ohio, Member of Lenovo Executive Service Advisory Council, Member HP Service Advisory Council.

Prior to joining SARCOM, Strauss spent 20 years in various technical and management roles within the Customer Service Organization at Digital Equipment Corporation.  He is a graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology, a Veteran of the United States Air Force and is currently an active U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Master Captain in the United States Merchant Marine.

 

Bill Morton, Vice President Enterprise Services Sales

As SARCOM’s Vice President of Enterprise Services Sales, Bill Morton is directly responsible for the services sales efforts for the entire SARCOM organization.  His responsibility focuses on the sales and growth of SARCOM’s service portfolio into SARCOM’s existing and prospective enterprise accounts. Prior to becoming SARCOM’s VP of Enterprise Services, he spent five years as the Regional Vice President of Sales for SARCOM’s Midwest region.  In addition, he spent three years running the Service Operations portion of SARCOM, reporting directly to the Sr. VP of Services.  Morton began his career at SARCOM as an Account Manager covering the states of Indiana and Illinois.  From there he quickly moved to a Sales Manager role responsible for the Chicago and Indianapolis branches.

Prior to joining SARCOM, Morton was the Area General Manager for CompuCom and spent six years as an Account Manager for a boutique VAR in Indianapolis.  After obtaining his B.S. in Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, he started his business career as a Project Manager for K-Mart Corporation in Troy, Michigan.
